“Our Friends with disabilities remind us of God’s Grace. For without Christ, you were once spiritually disabled, unable to move into His Kingdom, as well as blind to His purposes, and deaf to His voice. But by His grace you are being made whole…”  ~Joni Eareckson Tada

OUR MISSION

God has called us to share the love of Jesus and His desire that ALL come to know Him as Lord and Savior. We provide a nurturing environment that allows all individuals to grow in faith and to become all that God has created them to be. Through this ministry, we strive to strengthen families who face daily challenges of disabilities through support, family worship experiences and mentoring relationships. We desire to stimulate an increased awareness in the church and community of the gifts and abilities of people with disabilities.

A Look at Disability Statistics…
  • 49 Million Americans (1 in 5) have some form of physical, intellectual, or psychological disability.
  • 5 Million children have some form of disability.
  • Many people with disabilities have a caregiver. There are over 25 million family caregivers.
  • In Harford County, over 5,000 people currently receive special education services.
Buddies

Buddies are friends that help foster mentoring relationships with special needs persons. For preschool and elementary children who have special needs, we offer an inclusion type program. We pair each child with a one-on-one buddy to accompany them to their age specific class and/or program. This progam is available during all service hours. For more information or to schedule a buddy, please call Frank McMillen at 443-982-3305.
